Volvo Cars has issued a recall of nearly 507,000 cars globally which employ their 4 cylinder 2.0L engines.

According to a report released by Autocar UK, the root cause of the issue is a plastic engine intake manifold that could melt and ignite a fire in the engine bay.

Customers who find symptoms of the same will be given roadside assistance and a replacement free of cost.

Volvo has already started to contact owners of the affected cars and will replace the part free of charge. If you are a Volvo owner and haven't received a call yet, we suggest you to get in touch with your dealer as soon as possible.
